These SMS Terms & Conditions describe the SMS program operated by ETACARINAE S.R.L. through the Alba SaaS platform. They apply to messages sent to phone numbers in the United States over the 10DLC A2P channel provided by Twilio, and to any recipient who has opted in to receive SMS from a business using Alba. By opting in you agree to these Terms.

1. Program description

Alba sends transactional and customer-care SMS messages on behalf of the businesses that use our SaaS. Typical message categories:

Appointment confirmations and reminders.
Booking follow-ups after a missed appointment (no-show recovery).
Two-factor authentication codes and account notifications.
Delivery notifications and payment receipts.

Alba does not send unsolicited marketing, sweepstakes, high-risk financial content, or content prohibited by the CTIA Messaging Principles & Best Practices.

2. Opt-in

Recipients opt in by (a) providing their phone number and ticking an explicit SMS consent checkbox on a business booking form, or (b) confirming enrolment in a two-way conversation on WhatsApp, voice or email with the business. Consent is stored per-tenant with timestamp, IP hash and channel-alias in our customer_channel_aliases table with scope sms.

Opt-in keywords also accepted from the mobile device:

START — enrol or re-enrol after a previous STOP.
UNSTOP — same as START (re-enrol).

3. Opt-out (STOP) & help

Recipients may opt out at any time by replying with any of these keywords (case-insensitive):

STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, CANCEL

Upon receiving an opt-out we send a final confirmation SMS and cease all further messages within one message cycle. The recipient's phone number is added to a per-tenant Do Not Contact list enforced by our policy engine as a hard block.

Recipients may reply HELP or INFO at any time to receive the following auto-reply:

4. Message frequency & charges

Message frequency depends on the business you interact with; typically 1-4 messages per booking or 1 per login for 2FA.
Message and data rates may apply as per the recipient's mobile carrier plan. Alba does not charge recipients for SMS.

5. Supported carriers

Alba's US SMS will be delivered via Twilio 10DLC A2P once our carrier registration is approved by The Campaign Registry (TCR). The 10DLC registration is currently in review; upon approval, messages will reach all major US carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular and their MVNOs). Once live, carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Privacy

Phone numbers, message content and delivery metadata are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share mobile information (including phone number, opt-in status, and consent) with third parties for marketing purposes. Data collected as part of the SMS program is used solely to operate that program.
